Arucas, North Gate - Virtual Tour

Virtual Tour

The Arucas Puerta Norte Exhibition project consisted of an exhibition developed in the Exhibition Hall of the Casa de la Cultura that includes a series of episodes focused on the history of the protagonists, men and women linked to Arucas.

The series, which takes place entirely in Arucas, focuses on the story of the protagonists, men and women who have developed their work in our municipality. Each chapter has a protagonist, who brings us closer to the reality of his history and his link with Arucas, through his profession and the activities developed throughout his life. They throw brushstrokes drawn from memory about the municipality and the island, their favorite places, those corners where they like to spend time and sensations positive aspects of living in our land.

This virtual exhibition combines the representation of the protagonists through the Art of Wool by Fabiola Santana Pérez, an artisan of wool felted by FEDAC and the photographs of photographer Nacho González Oramas. Fabiola Santana brings to life the twelve protagonists of the series with a handmade figure made of felted wool that projects the soul of each one of them, with details that will be easily identifiable by fans of the series. For their part, each protagonist has two photographs for a total of twenty-four taken by Nacho González, who accompanied the technical team as photographer of the series during the recording of the series.

The exhibition was exhibited in the Exhibition Hall of the Casa de la Cultura from December 16, 2021 to January 10, 2022, within the Christmas program offered by the Arucas City Council, and is available in this virtual tour on our website.
